Albirex Niigata secured their first S.League title with two games still to play after a comfortable 3-0 win over Hougang United at Jalan Besar Stadium. Albirex

Since joining the competition twelve years ago, Albirex had never finished above third position in the league, but can now boast a championship.
Atsushi Kawata opened the scoring for Albirex in just the fourth minute, racing onto a Kento Fujihara pass before finishing smartly.
They doubled their lead three minutes later when Masaya Jitozono saw his free-kick benefit from a kind deflection before nestling in the back of the net, with Rui Kumada completing the scoring on the hour mark.
Having added the league title to the League Cup and the Community Shield they won earlier in the season, the White Swans will have the chance to become the first club to win a domestic quadruple when they face Tampines Rovers in the Singapore Cup final.
