NYCFC, YES Network announce multi-year agreement

The New York City Football Club signed a multi-year agreement with the YES Network, the team announced Thursday.
The club already has a partnership with radio station WFAN, which will become the team’s flagship station and radio rights holder.
NYCFC will begin its first season in Major League Soccer in March 2015, playing their home games at Yankee Stadium.
“We are delighted to partner with the YES Network and WFAN, two dominant sports media platforms in New York City,”  NYCFC Chief Business Officer Tim Pernetti said. “They are the most trusted and engaging outlets in New York City sports today.
The YES Network will television all of NYFCS home and away games in the primary viewing areas of New York State, Connecticut, north and central New Jersey and northeastern Pennsylvania. The team’s games can also be streamed for free by using the FOX Sports GO app.
The team currently has 18 players on its roster, including midfielder Frank Lampard, forward David Villa and goalkeeper Ryan Meara. NYCFC will be coached by Jason Kreis, who was the MLS MVP in 1999 and is fifth all-time in goals scored in league history.
