Olyroo striker departs Glory

Perth Glory FC has confirmed that Australian under-23 international Jamie Maclaren has departed the club, effective immediately.
The club confirmed it had released the 21-year-old to allow him to 'pursue alternate football opportunities', though the striker's next move is not yet known.
"I would like to thank the club and all the fans and members for their support over the past two years. I have many fond memories of WA and have enjoyed my time here," Maclaren said in a club statement.
"As far as my future is concerned, I don't have any immediate plans, but I would like to wish the club the best of luck in the forthcoming campaign."
Maclaren played 38 matches and scored 11 goals for Glory during the 2013/14 and 2014/15 Hyundai A-League seasons.

Victory to start A-League defence away to Adelaide

Western Sydney Wanderers will open the 2015-16 A-League season against Brisbane Roar, while champions Melbourne Victory travel to Adelaide.

A-League title-holders Melbourne Victory will begin their championship defence with a Super Cup-style fixture against Adelaide United in Round 1 of the 2015-16 season.

The reigning league champions will face the FFA Cup holders at the Adelaide Oval on October 9, while the new season to begin the day before - on a Thursday - with Western Sydney Wanderers hosting Brisbane Roar in a replay of the 2014 grand final.

In many European leagues, a one-off Super Cup fixture is held before the start of each season between the previous campaign's league and cup champions.

Victory, who defeated Sydney FC 3-0 to win their third championship last term, will play their first home game in round two with a derby against Melbourne City.
Sydney's first chance to take revenge on Victory will come in round six on November 14 at the Sky Blues' home of Allianz Stadium.
To complete the opening weekend's action, Central Coast Mariners will host Perth Glory and Melbourne City will visit Sydney on October 10, before Newcastle Jets travel across the Tasman to play Wellington Phoenix a day later.
The first Sydney derby will be held in round three on October 24 with last season's runners-up hosting the Wanderers.

Iraklis stear clear of bad boy Bulut - reports

The forward with distinctive tattoos and a troubled past remains a free agent after leaving the Wanderers, with a Greek side believed to be put off a potential deal
Kerem Bulut has reportedly missed out on a contract at Greek club Iraklis over concerns about his fitness and character.
The striker is without a club after leaving Western Sydney Wanderers following a brief spell with the A-League side in the second half of the 2014-15 season.
The 23-year-old served notice of his potential worth by netting five goals in nine appearances for the Pirtek Stadium outfit before moving on at the end of the campaign.
A report in Greek publication Gazetta claimed poor results in a fitness test and questions over Bulut's temperament may have been behind the second-tier outfit's decision not to offer the livewire forward a contract.
Capped by Australia at Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23 level, the former Sydney FC youth team player spent three years at Czech club Mlada Boleslav and one season at Turkish side Akhisar Belediyespor, with a loan spell at Karsıyaka.
He has a reputation for getting into trouble off the field, having been charged in relation to gang offences in 2010.
He was again charged by police with intimidation in March over an incident in a fast food restaurant and stood down for one match.
Although later cleared, it appears Bulut's record of courting controversy may be counting against him in his search for a new club.
