Rivaldo's son, Rivaldinho, signs for Boavista from Mogi Mirim
Boavista have signed Rivaldinho, son of former Brazil great Rivaldo, from Mogi Mirim.
Rivaldinho, 20, had been playing alongside ex-Barcelona star Rivaldo, 43, at the Brazilian second-tier club, where his father serves as club president.
He now moves to the Portuguese top-flight with Boavista, who said in a statement: "Rivaldinho is a striker who possesses good movement and he's a good finisher. Apart from his own qualities, which promise him a great future, he's also the son of Ballon d'Or winner Rivaldo, who needs no introduction."
Rivaldinho posted a picture of himself at his new club on his Twitter account.
He said: "My new home!!!! Very happy for the opportunity to play for a great team!!! God is faithful."

His father also posted about the transfer on Instagram, writing: "At this time my son @9rivaldinho made the right choice with Boavista FC of Portugal. May God continue to bless him in this new stage of his career. You deserve all the best."
Cruzeiro sack ex-Brazil coach Luxemburgo
Former Brazil and Real Madrid manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo was Monday sacked by defending Brazilian Serie A champions Cruzeiro.
The decision follows Cruzeiro's 1-0 home loss to Santos on Sunday, a result that left the Belo Horizonte outfit 16th in the standings.
In an official statement published on the club's website, Cruzeiro said that football director Isaias Tinoco had also left the club.
Luxemburgo's departure comes less than four months after he was fired by Cruzeiro's Brazilian rivals Flamengo.
He led Cruzeiro to six victories, three draws and 10 losses during his brief time in charge.
Cruzeiro said they were yet to make a decision on the 63-year-old's replacement.
Ataide Gil Guerreiro confirms Sao Paulo want to sign Alexandre Pato on permanent deal, despite Tottenham interest
Speaking to the Mirror, Sao Paulo president Ataide Gil Guerreiro has admitted that he wants to keepAlexandre Pato at the club, despite rumours linking him with an exit from Brazil.
He said: “I am determined to keep him. I’m working a way we can keep him permanently after December.”
Pato is currently on loan at Sao Paulo from fellow Brazilian side Corinthians, and his return to goalscoring form in his homeland has seen the Brazilian international linked with a switch to the Premier League.
Globoesporte reported over the weekend that Pato’s agent was in London hoping to seal a deal to take the 25-year-old to England. Spurs are linked in the report as being the most interested party, but the Mirror report claims that Pato has no desire to leave Sao Paulo as of yet.
The Tricolor want to keep hold of him, as confirmed by Guerreiro, and he has admitted that he is working on a deal to change Pato's loan signing to a permanent one before it expires on December 31 of this year.
It is claimed that Corinthians are looking to cash in on Pato as soon as possible, and a move to the Premier League could appeal to the Brazilian side as they are likely to make a large profit on his sale.
However, Pato himself wants to stay with Sao Paulo, and it appears as if the 25-year-old is another striker that Spurs will miss out on.

Hernanes signs for Juventus
The Brazilian midfielder underwent a medical in Turin on Monday and has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Italian champions.
Juventus have confirmed the signing of Hernanes from Serie A rivals Inter. The 30-year-old emerged as a last-minute target for the club, who watched their top creative midfield target Julian Draxler join Wolfsburg on Monday. As mentioned in GOAL, Hernanes has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, with his new club paying €11 million for his services with up to €2m more in add-ons. Hernanes spent a season and a half as an Inter player having signed from Lazio for around €18m in January 2014.

Ex-São Paulo midfielder Casemiro extends his contract at Real Madrid
The 23-year-old midfielder, who featured in Saturday's 5-0 win over Real Betis, has been handed a new long term deal.
Casemiro has signed a six-year extension to his Real Madrid contract, the club confirmed on Monday. The 23-year-old joined the Spanish side from São Paulo in 2013 and spent last term on loan at Porto where he became a key player for the Portuguese side. The midfielder impressed on loan at Porto last season with a string of fine performances, particularly in the UEFA Champions League. Casemiro's previous deal had been set to expire in summer 2017, but Madrid have now reaffirmed their faith in the midfielder by handing him a new contract which ties him to the club until June 2021.
Gabigol rejects Fenerbahçe and release official statement underlining his affection to Santos
9-year-old Santos forward Gabriel 'Gabigol' Barbosa released a statement on Monday which states that he has no plans of leaving the club now.
The player also confirmed that he received a proposal from Fenerbahçe but has decided to turn down that offer after conversations with his parents and agent. Gabigol wrote: "I kept quiet during these last few days reading the news about my possible transfer, but today I've decided to talk. This weekend my family and I had a talk with my manager about a proposal by Fenerbahçe."

Marseille make €15 million offer for Damião but the player rejects a move
Marseille lodged a €15m bid for Brazilian striker Leandro Damião on Monday, but a move was discarded by the player as he wished to stay at Cruzeiro.
Damião has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli in recent years, but has so far continued to play his football in Brazil. The striker currently plays for Cruzeiro, on loan from Santos, and his parent club are willing to accept the bid, as confirmed by president Modesto Roma. Damião' representative also confirmed that they received a proposal from Marseille, but he stated that the striker has turned it down to stay in Brazil. Damião had took Santos to court for non-payment of wages and won the right to terminate his contract, but an appeal was lodged by the club against the court decision. Modesto said: "With Santos, it's no problem. If it depends on Santos, we will sell, but we must solve this [situation]. We won't create problems."

Neymar may currently be training with his national team but his club affairs continue to grab all the headlines.
The 23 year old has been the subject of huge interest from Manchester United and to put a stop to it all Barcelona are set to offer him a bumper new contract.
According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Neymar's father is to meet with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu in the coming days to discuss details.
Barcelona aim to extend Neymar's contract until 2020 with reports suggesting that Manchester United are willing to meet his current €190 million release clause.
