ASB CHATHAM CUP 2015 - NEW ZEALAND

  

Two recent winners of the ASB Chatham Cup will clash in the first round of the 2015 edition of New Zealand Football’s national knockout cup competition.

Miramar Rangers – winners in 2010 will travel to Wairarapa United – competition champions in 2011 – when the first round kicks off over the weekend of May 9-10.

Meanwhile, two-time defending champions Cashmere Technical from Christchurch – current leaders of the Mainland Premier League – open their bid for a competition three-peat as they play host to Western – currently sitting in sixth position in their regional league competition.

In the Northern Region, three all-NRFL Division 1 ties have come out of the hat with leaders North Shore United AFC travelling to Metro FC, Ngaruawahia United AFC hosting Mt Albert-Ponsonby AFC while Manurewa AFC clash with Takapuna AFC. NRFL Premier League teams have a bye into the second round.

Football South Round 1 matches were played on Monday 27 April with the top four from the federation’s Premier League – Mosgiel AFC, Caversham AFC, Roslyn Wakari AFC and Dunedin Technical, all moving into Round 2.
