Afghan Premier League
The Afghan Premier League (APL) also known as Roshan Afghan Premier League [1] is Afghanistan's first nationalassociation football league.[2] The league was first played out in 2012 and consisted of eight teams, each representing one region in Afghanistan. Two seasons have been played so far, with the first Toofan Harirod F.C winning the title in 2012, and the second season; Shaheen Asmayee F.C. winning it in 2013.[3] Before the founding of the Afghan Premier League, theKabul Premier League had been considered the nation's top league.[4] The third season of the Afghan Premier League, sees Shaheen Asmayee F.C as the defending champions. The 2014 Afghan Premier League season began officially on the 28th of August, 2014. In the third season of the Afghan Premier League, Shaheen Asmayee F.C. defeated Oqaban Hindukush F.C. 3-2 goals after extra time, to become Champions of the 2014 Afghan Premier League for the second time in a row. It is the first time in the history of the league, in which a team have become back to back champions.

Panjshir Valley in Panjshir province, one of the most beautiful valleys in Afghanistan, hosted the 2015 RAPL regional tournament for selection of 26-man squad for Oqaban Hindukosh.
Panjshir A, Panjshir B, Parwan, Daikundi, Bamiyan, and Kapisa football teams took part in this tournament in two groups A and B. Young, Energetic, and enthusiastic players in these teams exhibited their best football skills in six matches over the course of three days from June 4th- 6th.
The local football stadium was packed in all six games full of spectators who showed up to support their teams and take full advantage of an exciting football competition taking place close to their homes.
Akhliddin Turdyev, the international coach of the team with the help of Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) staff selected the top 26 players after closely observing and assessing a diverse group of young and talented players available at this tournament. The final list of players who made it to the team squad was announced on June 7th.
Oqaban Hindukosh has been one of the top performing teams in the last three seasons of RAPL. Last year, they advanced into their first ever final but got defeated by Shaheen Asmayee 3-2. It is already evident from the quality of games in this tournament that it will be a challenge for other teams to play and compete against Oqaban for the 2015 RAPL Championship Title.
