Jordan Henderson: Philippe Coutinho's goal against Stoke was amazing but he does it in training regularly

Jordan Henderson has marvelled at the "amazing" goal his Liverpool teammate Philippe Coutinho scored in the 1-0 win over Stoke City last week, admitting the Brazilian often scores such strikes in training.
Coutinho proved the difference in Liverpool's opening game of the 2015/16 Premier League season last weekend after he scored the only goal of the match in the 86th minute to secure all three points for Brendan Rodgers' side.
Coutinho's long-range effort, his third goal from outside the area in 2015, was heavily praised afterwards, and Henderson has now admitted the Brazilian - who has been surprisingly omitted from the Brazil squad for their upcoming fixtures - scores stunning strikes regularly in training.
When asked about the importance of the Reds having a good start to the season, Henderson said: "It’s a new season, a new start and it’s always nice to start the season with a win, especially with the way our season ended last year.
"I was standing behind Philippe's shot at the time and I knew as soon as he put it onto his right foot the keeper may be in trouble, it was an amazing finish and something he does in training often.
"I always have the belief that we can create chances to score against teams, we’ve got a real strong unit of players and I’m looking forward to working hard over the season to achieve success."
Liverpool will host their first match of the new season against Bournemouth on Monday, with the Cherries coming into the clash following a narrow opening-day defeat to Aston Villa.
Bournemouth's trip to Anfield is their first in 47 years, and Henderson admits he is pleased to see the club playing in the top-flight for the first time in their history.
"Our first home game of the season will be a big occasion for us as players, the fans and the whole club. We’re all looking forward to running out in front of the Kop and hopefully picking up the three points," he said.
"I think a lot of people were impressed with Bournemouth last season, they’re a great addition to the league."

Manuel Pellegrini: Manchester City always dominate Chelsea

Manuel Pellegrini claimed his Manchester City team ‘always dominate Chelsea’ adding some insult to injury following their 3-0 win over the champions at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Goals from Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and a screamer from Fernandinho wrapped up an emphatic win for City as they landed the opening blow in this season’s title race.
The home side dominated from the first whistle and made light work of Chelsea, who, apart from one glaring Eden Hazard chance in the second half, struggled to threaten the outcome of the result.
And it could have been worse for Chelsea had Asmir Begovic not pulled off a string of world-class saves to keep the game goalless up until Aguero’s inevitable opener.
Speaking after the game, Pellegrini seemed relieved that his side where finally able to convert their dominant displays against Chelsea into a winning performance.
"Two things are the most pleasing to me about this match. Number one to score three goals. In the first half we played really well, just Asmir Begovic put in a great performance and we didn't score more," he said.
"Second it was important to get a clean sheet. To win 3-0 in two games, one against the champions, we are just starting the season but it’s important to play in the way we did today.
"We always dominate Chelsea. Maybe we draw against them last year and before we lost but always we dominate Chelsea. Today we made the complete work."
In contrast, Blues boss Jose Mourinho labelled the result on Sunday as "fake" and believed Chelsea were the better side in the second half.
In any case, City certainly mean business this time around taking the early advantage in this season’s title race and, as a result, they now sit top of the league two games into the campaign.

Kiss and tell: my sex and more sex with sex mad Chelsea doctor sexy Eve Carneiro

Did you know that Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro is “sex mad”? It’s all she thinks about.
When Arsenal fans are asking “Have you ever had a Gooner up your arse?” and Manchester United supporters are telling her to “Get your tits out for the lads”, Dr Eva is thinking about sex. When she’s treating Eden Hazard in the closing stages of Chelsea’s opening game of the 2015-16 season at Stamford Bridge she’s thinking about sex. When bitchy Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is belittling her in public, she’s thinking about sex. Even when she’s rubbing John Terry’s thighs she is thinking about sex. Eva Carneiro is “sex mad”.
The Sun delivers the news that matters, reporting the words of one Rupert Patterson-Ward. He says he and Dr Eva had sex “a million times”. He says:
“This woman ruined my life. Eva would blurt out she had slept with one of the players during heated rows. She said it just to make me feel bad. I don’t believe it was true.’’
He didn’t believe it but does believe we should know.
Rupert, 33, then talks about sex.
“Eva is a very sexual woman and not many people know the real her. She’s ruthless and gets whatever and whoever she wants. I was besotted with her and we were planning a family, but she chewed me up and spat me out.”
Is that why you’re covered in a thin layer of slime, Rupes?
“Eva loved sex. It was so important to her. We would have sex every single day.”
Welcome to austerity Britian, readers. Once upon a time sporting figures “potted” kiss ‘n’ tellers five times a night. Now it’s once a day with Rupert. Depressing.
One bout of quotidian sex occured after Roo had hurt his shoulder.
“I was doubled up and really hurting. When Eva came back she saw I was in pain. She took me to her bedroom, and with a twinkle in her eye said, ‘I need to treat you’. She tore off my clothes, glanced at my shoulder, jumped on me and we had passionate sex.”
One glance at Rupert’s shoulder and an intelligent woman is turned into a rampant, humping, lusty-filled shagger. Show both shoulders and Rupert will attract women to him like flies to a wet turd.
He then introduces the spectre of sexual harrassment in the workplace:
“She told how one footballer would constantly hit on her, parading around naked in front of her at every opportunity in the dressing room and making sure she got a real eyeful. After one match he called her to his hotel room and answered the door completely starkers.”
Adding:
“We would be sitting at home watching TV and she would have calls from players at 9pm or 10pm. They would have had a sore leg or had pulled a hamstring. She always went and returned in the early hours. I had to get my head around the fact she would be giving players rub downs.”
Rupert then harks back to when he and Dr Eva first met.
“I was a bit tipsy and loose-tongued and went over and began chatting. She was with her parents but I didn’t care. I chatted for as long as I could without freaking her out, and made sure she had my name, phone number, email, you name it.”
Bank account details?
He was so worried he was losing her that he once hired a £50,000 Jeep 4×4 to pick her up from Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey.
You can see why sex mad Dr Eva shagged Rupert – he really is a massive tool.

John Terry 'warned by Jose Mourinho about poor form'

Jose Mourinho reportedly warned John Terry that his place in the Chelsea starting lineup was under threat prior to taking him off at half time against Manchester City.
The experienced captain was hauled off after 45 minutes in the Blues' heavy 3-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea boss Mourinho admitted after the game that the decision was purely tactical, rather than forced, as the Premier League champions struggled to cope with quick-thinking Sergio Aguero.
According to The Telegraph, Terry was told by Mourinho last week that he faced being dropped from the side if he did not up his performance from another disappointing showing at home to Swansea City on the opening weekend.
It is claimed that the Portuguese has been concerned with the centre-back's form during pre-season, as well as the opening fixtures of this campaign, which culminated in his high-profile withdrawal.
Terry played every minute of every game as Chelsea stormed to the Premier League title last term.

Manchester United: Wayne Rooney can’t stop scoring

How’s life treating Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney? After United had completed these routine defeat of Aston Villa at Villa Park (in their last 40 league matches, Villa have won once, lost 29 and drawn 10), the papers shone a light on the nation’s main man.
All but one news source thought Rooney was poor:
Daily Mail: “Wayne Rooney is on his way to being burnt out and the Manchester United captain looks as ineffectual as he has ever been”
Daily Mail: “Manchester United need a new striker: With Wayne Rooney out of sorts, Louis van Gaal needs fresh firepower to boost title hopes”
The Guardian: “Loose passing, wasteful finishing and a particularly bad night for Wayne Rooney kept the hosts in the game”
ESPN: “There were hopes that Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney would rediscover some form against Aston Villa on Friday night… Remarkably, though, he was even worse than he was against Tottenham last week. His lack of mobility, touch and pace prevent him from leading the line successfully. When you compare him to strikers at rival clubs, like Sergio Aguero, the gap in quality between them is embarrassing.”
The Times: “They need more, of course — not least from Wayne Rooney, who looks short of fitness or confidence or both”
MEN: “Manchester United fan ratings: Rooney struggles”
BBC: “Striker Wayne Rooney was supposed to be the main man up front this season but the early signs have been a little worrying for United. As in the opening game against Tottenham the United and England skipper struggled to make an impact leading the line. And it was not until injury time that he touched the ball in the opposition penalty area”
And the one that disagreed:
The Sun: “SUN STAR MAN — Wayne Rooney, Manchester United”

Wonder which newspaper wants Rooney as its next columnist?

Liverpool make it two Premier League wins in two after edging past Bournemouth

James Milner (R) of Liverpool celebrates with Jordon Ibe (L) after scoring the first goal during the international friendly match between Adelaide United and Liverpool FC at Adelaide Oval on July 20, 2015

Liverpool have secured a second Premier League win in a row after narrowly edging Bournemouth 1-0 in Monday's meeting at Anfield thanks to Christian Benteke's first-half strike.
The visitors had the ball in the back of the Reds net after just five minutes played, but referee Craig Pawsondisallowed the goal after claiming that Tommy Elphick, who headed home, had fouled Dejan Lovren in the build-up.
Liverpool continued to be under the cosh as Bournemouth pushed forward time and time again, Josh Kingconnecting with a ball from a set piece on the quarter-hour mark and heading over the bar.
The home side slowly worked their way back into the game and came close in the 25th minute as Benteke snuffed out Matt Ritchie's miscued ball and fired over from 20 yards.
Just two minutes later Liverpool drew first blood, with Jordan Henderson's cross from the left wing flashing past Philippe Coutinho and into the path of Benteke, who duly poked the ball home from close range.
The Reds could have doubled their lead on the stroke of half time, but Coutinho dragged his left-footed effort wide of the Cherries post.
Ritchie was bright for the visitors after the restart as he weighed in with two chances in quick succession, but Liverpool countered through James Milner, who scooped a shot wide in the 54th minute.
The Cherries then came within a whisker of drawing level when, on the hour, Ritchie came off the right flank to power a ferocious effort on goal, but despite beating Simon Mignolet, the ball cannoned off the left-hand post and out of danger.
Eunan O'Kane was next to try his luck for Bournemouth with a drive that flew into the side netting, though the opposition had a good chance to double their lead when Coutinho's shot was frantically charged down by Charlie Daniels.
The pendulum continued to swing as both sides pushed forward in a last-ditch bid to get the ball into the back of the opposition net, but ultimately the game finished with Liverpool claiming all three points.
