Player of the Month: Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)

The German forward has long been admired both in his country and around the globe. On Matchday three the World Cup winner once again proved just what he is capable of by bagging a brace in his side’s 3-0 win over Bayer 04 Leverkrusen . The 25-year-old also bagged a brace against Hamburg and struck in the 2-1 victory at Hoffenheim, giving the defending champions a 100% record after their first three league fixtures. The reported Manchester United target has also registered the most shots in the division (14).

Manager of the Month: Thomas Tuchel (Borussia Dortmund)

Thomas Tuchel has got off to a flying start as coach of Borussia Dortmund, winning the first three league matches. Dortmund are the early pace setters in the Bundesliga and Tuchel had won all seven of his competitive fixtures to date. Under Tuchel, Dortmund have made the second best start to a league season in their history after beating Borussia Monchengladbach and Ingolstadt 4-0, before defeating Hertha Berlin 3-1. Tuchel is all about controlling the game, as his side have shown by averaging 60% ball possession to date.

Goal of the Month: Kevin Volland (Hoffenheim)

We have chosen this goal not for the quality but for the unbelievable timing of it. Volland scored the quickest goal in Bundesliga history against Bayern Munich after he took advantage from a really poor pass by David Alaba to slot low past Manuel Neuer in the Bavarians goal. SDespite that the champions came back to win 2-1.

Bastian Schweinsteiger says Germany's Euro 2016 double-header with Poland and Scotland is 'must win' as Man United star joins international colleagues in Frankfurt

Bastian Schweinsteiger says Germany have no choice but to take maximum points from this week's qualifiers with Poland and Scotland if they are to qualify for next summer's European Championships.
The World Cup holders aren't too accustomed to 'must-win' scenarios in qualifying campaigns but following a sluggish start, that is the situation they find themselves in ahead of the double-header.
Manchester United midfielder Schweinsteiger trained with his Germany colleagues in Frankfurt on Wednesday as they prepare to face Group D leaders Poland there on Friday before travelling to take on the Scots in Glasgow three days later.

Germany currently sit in second position, a point behind the Poles, who beat them 2-0 in Warsaw back in October, and just two points ahead of Scotland, whom they beat unconvincingly 2-1 last September.
'We have to win both games, that's it,' said captain Schweinsteiger, reporting for international duty for the first time since his £14m move from Bayern Munich this summer.
'Against Poland we know it is difficult to play against them but we have to win. There is no way around it. We just must.'
Germany's laboured win over Scotland and loss in Poland could be explained by a post-World Cup hangover, but they were then held at home by the Republic of Ireland before a routine 4-0 win over Gibraltar.

Back in March, Joachim Low's side won 2-0 away to Georgia and then thrashed Gibraltar 7-0 to boost their chances of gaining one of the two automatic qualification places.
Schweinsteiger assumed the cpataincy when Philipp Lahm retired after the World Cup triumph and Low believes that Liverpool's Emre Can can excel in the vacated right-back position.
'Two wins, six points and a big step towards France,' Can said this week when asked to predict the two matches. 'This is what we want and we have the quality to do it.
'Personally I also hope that I will make my debut for the senior team.'
The Poland team will contain a number of Bundesliga-based players, including the Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski, who is keen to cause another upset.

'I live in Germany and I can tell you nobody is even contemplating missing out on the Euro finals,' Lewandowski, who has scored seven goals in six qualifiers, said ahead of their two games which also include minnows Gibraltar on September 7.
'The only question is whether they will finish top of the group or runners-up. But Germany look at us differently now. They respect us.
'I don't think they will swarm all over us from the beginning as they know we could hit them on the counter-attack.
'Certainly the perception of the Polish national team has changed in recent times. It reflects that we are a team that beat the world champions and we lead the group. I hope after the next two matches we remain in first place.'
