Preparation started - RUSSIA

The Russian National team gathered for the training camp ahead to the UEFA EURO-2016 qualifying matches against Sweden and Liechtenstein.
On Monday, 31 August the Russian National team started their training camp ahead to the UEFA EURO-2016 qualifying matches against Sweden (5 September, Moscow, Otkrytie Arena, 19:00) and  Liechtenstein (8 September, Vaduz, Reinpark stadium, 20:45).  All 24 players called to join the team arrived for the team gathering.

Forwards: Artem Dzyuba ("Zenit" Saint-Petersburg), Alexander Kokorin («Dinamo» Moscow), Fedor Smolov ("Krasnodar").
Upon the arrival the team had dinner and gathered for a team meeting. Acting FUR President Nikita Simonyan and FUR CEO Alexander Alaev introduced a new head coach to the team and wished good luck in the upcoming matches. In his turn Leonid Slutsky told the players and the coaching staff about the peculiarities of the preparation and training process.
On Tuesday, 1 September, the team will have the first training session at the Arena Khimki stadium. The session starts at 12:00. The training will be completely closed for the media, after it two players will be available for the media in the mix zone. The full Russia A-team planning can be found here.
