Javier Hernandez scored his first goal for Bayer Leverkusen, as the Bundesliga outfit cruised to a 4-1 win over BATE Borisov in the Champions League.

The two sides went into half time level, after Admir Mehmedi gave the German side the lead after four minutes.
However, the Belarusian side hit back nine minutes later, as Nemanja Milunovic headed home a corner, making the score level against the run of play.

It didn't take long for Leverkusen to regain the lead after the break, as Hakan Calhanoglu's low shot deflected over Sergei Chernik, a couple of minutes after the restart.
Leverkusen made it 3-1 not long after, as Hernandez latched onto a through-ball and struck a low shot across the onrushing goalkeeper to score his first goal for the German side.

Calhanoglu scored his second and Leverkusen's fourth from the penalty spot, after the referee spotted a handball inside the area, giving the German side the penalty.
