• The Quakes concluded a three-game homestand with a win, a loss and a draw, after gaining a 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday evening at Avaya Stadiumm.
• The Impact started their West Coast swing with a valuable road point, reaching a scoreless draw with the LA Galaxy on Saturday evening at StubHub Center.
• The Impact won the only meeting between the teams a season ago, a 2-0 triumph on Sept. 20, their second win in two league meetings at Stade Saputo. The teams reached a 2-2 draw at Buck Shaw Stadium in 2013 in their only league meeting ever in San Jose.
• The clubs also met twice in the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League in 2013, each team winning on their home ground.
