FKF-PL leaders Kakamega Homeboyz will today 8th august welcome Kericho based side Zoo Kericho in a top of the table clash at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.the match which was initially slated for Bukhungu stadium was shifted to kisumu by the league management after crowd trouble witnessed at the same stadium when West Kenya Sugar hosted Zoo.
Zoo Kericho,4th in the log with 37 points will want to get back to the top 3 with victory over the Cleopas Shimanyula owned side.A win will take them to 40 points on 3rd slot 3 ahead of Sharks.
The clash is the highlight of the matches of Kenya’s second tier with Homeboyz assured of a three point cushion at the top with victory over Zoo.Zoo however have two matches at hand.
In other matches in the same league on saturday 8th August,17th placed MOSCA will welcome 12th placed Agro Chemicals while Bungoma based Nzoia FC’s match against Finlays hang in a balance after the latter withdrew from the league.
On sunday,West kenya Sugar will be at the Bukhungu Stadium to square it out with Nakuru based St.Joseph FC.West Kenya are in the 8th position with 29 points from 19 matches while St.Joseph are rocked at the bottom of the table with 14 points from 20 matches.
At the Oserian stadium in Naivasha,hosts Oserian FC will battle visiting Modern Coast Rangers while money bags and high flying Nakumatt FC seek a date with Bidco FC at the Machakos Stadium.
Nakumatt,placed at 7th position with 30 points will move to the 4th position with win over Bidco.
13th place Ligi Ndogo FC will welcome Visiting Nairobi stima in an all Nairobi clash.
It is important to note how the league’s lethal strikers Keiphas Baraza on 15 goals and Nicholas Kipkurui on 8 goals will challenge each other when their clubs Homeboyz and Zoo clash today at the moi stadium in Kisumu.
Kenya-KPL:Muhoroni ease past Thika
Muhoroni Youth moved to the 9th position of the Sportpesa sponsored Kenya Premier league with a deserved 1-0 voctory over Thika United at the Muhoroni Stadium.
The match began on a high with both teams pressing hard for the opener but it was Muhoroni who were more hungrier in goal.
Wellington Ochieng came close to putting the hosts ahead but his connecting pass was well handled by Hamza Muwonge in Thika goal.
The Ugandan was at it again when he denied impressive George Mandela who had combined well with Ochomo and Abbas Akinyemi.
Muhoroni pressed on with Mandela and Ochomo missing several goal scoring chances.
Jackson Macharia and Kennedy Otieno both had their efforts thwarted by Faruk Shikalo in Muhoroni goal.

On resumption,Paul Nkata brought in former Gor Mahia and Western Stima man Paul Odhiambo for Mike Khadula to strengthen the foward.
Infront of a cheering passionate Muhoroni sizeable crowd that endured an earlier drizzle,The hosts pressed on and in the 65th minute,impressive George Mandela was brought down just near the 18 yard box.The resultant free kick was neatly slotted in to the net by Wycliff Nyangechi.
With Muhoroni leading,Thika pressed on for an equalizer in vain.
Coach Tim Bryett brought on Kepha Aswani for Jackson Macharia but the Muhoroni Sugar boys held on to bag the maximum points.
Muhoroni face Western Stima away in the next fixture in Kisumu while Thika will welcome Bandari at the Thika Municipal Stadium.
Tusker Premier League
