Bandari braced for wounded Slum boys

Bandari FC Coach Twahir Muhiddin says his charges are braced for a tough clash from wounded Mathare United when the two face off in the Kenya Premier League match on Friday 21 August at Nyayo stadium.

Dockers face their hosts, Slum Boys, with both sides seeking a win after their barren draw in the first leg with the trainer convinced the match will prove a tough one  for his side.
-We  know Mathare will come to fight for their lives after their previous unfavaourable results. It will be a difficult match for us but we are prepared to face them, Muhiddin told futaa.
Bandari are placed sixth in the standings after registering a 2-1 away win over Thika last weekend.

Ex- Gor attacker content with point gained

Former Gor Mahia winger Patrick Oboya was elated with his team’s performance against his former employers, registering his contentment with the single point taken away during their Wednesday 19 August KPL match.
The attacker, who joined AllStars on a short stint in June 2015 from Tusker FC, said its normal for a player to feel the urge of proving a point to his old club when he comes against them.
Grateful
-Am getting along well despite not scoring today. They (Gor Mahia) were all over me in three's,bullying me from all sides, but we are grateful for the one point. We try our chances in next game and see how it goes.
- It is quite experience playing against a team you once played for.You want to push yourself in such a match and do everything to make them feel a bit of your absence, Oboya told futaa.
Oboya has been a pillar in the team’s recent wake of form, netting three goals in four matches.

Okidi optimistic resurgent AllStars will survive chop

Nakuru AllStars Coach Peter Okidi maintains that his bottom placed side can evade the relagation chop after seeing his side a 1-1 draw against Gor Mahia at Nyayo stadium On Wednesday 19 August.
AllStars added another remarkable result to their recent rejuvenation, rallying to hold leader Gor 1-1 on Wednesday to close in on their struggling counterparts with Okidi convinced there still remain room to catch up.
Stagnating
-We are looking for teams on top of us they are not moving, still stagnating. We just have to work hard and take each game at a time. We have collected a point against the champions. It was a win for us but we appreciate the one point,
-We next play Chemelil and I am sure we will back to the three, we need the three points and I believe this team cannot go down, Okidi said.
AllStars who tail the standings now sit three points below City Stars in the relegation zone
