Arsenal have reportedly expressed an interest in signingLeicester City winger Riyad Mahrez after tracking his progress at the start of the new Premier League season.
The Algeria international, who has also been linked with moves to Villarreal and Roma, has scored four goals in as many appearances for the Foxes so far this season.
The Daily Star reports that the 24-year-old is on Arsene Wenger's long-term wishlist, but Leicester are not prepared to sell him during the current transfer window.
Wenger has admitted that Arsenal could bring in more players before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

Reports in Spain have suggested that Everton are willing to meet the release clause of Sevilla striker Juan Munoz.
Sevilla have opened talks with the 19-year-old's agent over a new contract but are far from an agreement, according to Mucho Deporte.
With that, Everton are said to be ready to meet Munoz's €3m (£2.1m) release clause.
Munoz has made just two appearances for the Sevilla first-team, but has scored 14 goals in 35 appearances for reserve side Sevilla Atletico.
