2018 FIFA World Cup CONCACAF Fourth Round Determined

  

The semifinal groups have been determined with 12 teams competing for six spots to the final round.

After the conclusion of the CONCACAF's third round for qualification to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the fourth Round or semifinals to the final round have had their groups determined, with three groups of four teams looking to punch in two spots in each group to qualify for ''The Hex.''  

Easy for the Americans, not for the rest

As the groups were determined, Group A seems to be a tough one which has Mexico, Honduras, Canada and El Salvador. Group B, which clearly is the group of death in this fourth Round featuresCosta Rica, Panama, Haiti and Jamaica. Each nation will face their three group rivals twice in a six-game round-robin format, once at home and once away, with the top two of each group qualifying to the final round.

For the Americans, they were able to breathe a sigh of relief when their group was announced in Russia back in July. They are joined alongside St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guatemala andTrinidad and Tobago in Group C.

They will open their qualifying campaign towards Russia against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri on November 13th before traveling to Trinidad and Tobago to play their last match of the year four days later.

Canada will open their campaign in a tough match against Honduras on the same date before traveling to El Salvador four days later. The USA have finished first in the Hexagonal during the past three FIFA World Cup cycles, while Canada have not reached "the Hex" since the 1998 qualifying rounds.
