FC Shakhtar considers it necessary to comment on the situation concerning detention of the U19 team players Oleg Gladchenko, Yaroslav Fursov and Volodymyr Grachyov by Kyiv patrol police.
Regarding this fact, FC Shakhtar officially states: we strongly condemn the behaviour of the aforementioned players. The club considers violation of any law, order and social norms as unacceptable. Players, who violated the law, will suffer severe financial and disciplinary punishment. According to FC Shakhtar decision, they are excluded from participation in the games for an indefinite period of time. In addition, Oleg Gladchenko, Yaroslav Fursov and Volodymyr Grachyov have to apologize to the club, fans and public.
If the players commit such offenses again, they will be expelled from FC Shakhtar Academy.

Nyon, Switzerland, hosted XVII UEFA Elite Coaches Forum. Shakhtar’s head coach has also attended it.
The first such meeting took place in 1999. Since then, the conferences have been occupying an important place in the calendar, and are organised each season by UEFA at the start of the European competitions. During this forum, top club coaches analyse the results of the previous year in European football, identify new trends and assess the format of tournaments and refereeing at the highest level. In addition, coaches can communicate here in an informal environment and exchange their ideas. Today, the forum is an important platform for dialogue and sharing experiences.
Apart from Mircea Lucescu, the meeting has also featured Paulo Sousa (Fiorentina), Arsene Wenger (Arsenal), Jurgen Klopp (without a team), Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus), Roger Schmidt (Bayer), Julen Lopetegui (Porto), Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City), Leonardo Jardim (Monaco), Laurent Blanc (PSG), and so on. One should also note the first appearance of Dnipro’s coach Myron Markevych at the forum.
