Just when we thought Eva Carneiro's name might be subsiding from the headlines, along comes this report in The Sun...

The article features an interview with the Chelsea doctor's ex, Rupert Patterson-Ward, who claims that Carneiro 'ruined his life' and would taunt him about how she'd had sex with Chelsea players.
“Eva would blurt out she had slept with one of the players during heated rows. She said it just to make me feel bad. I don’t believe it was true,’’ Rupert told the paper.
Rupert also claims that one unnamed Chelsea player called her to his hotel room and answered the door completely starkers. According to Rupert, she quite enjoys the attention of the players.
“She prides herself on being popular among the players. Eva loved the attention,” he says.
And because no kiss-and-tell would be complete without it, he then opens up about the finer details of the pair's sex life.
“Eva loved sex. It was so important to her. We would have sex every single day," he explained. “She is a fiery and passionate woman who knows what she wants. I was an incredibly lucky man."
The report also focuses on Carneiro's ruthless nature - suggesting that the pair planned a family and a future together before she decided that Patterson-Ward was 'not good enough' for her.
Why exactly there is a need to print such a story - based entirely on what one person has said - at this moment in time is another matter. Predictably, many are far from impressed at the decision by The Sun to run with the story...
