Denmark vs Liechtenstein-Preview-Predictions-31-August-2016-International Friendly Match

Denmark vs Liechtenstein
International Friendly.
Date: Wednesday; 31-August-2016
Kick-off: 19:00 UK
Venue: CASA Arena, Horsens.
Denmark and Liechtenstein prepare for their World Cup qualification campaign as they meet in an international friendly game at Horsens on Wednesday night.
The Danes look to put behind the disappointment of not making it to the Euro 2016 finals after the defeat to neighbors Sweden in the play-off round. At the aftermath of the exit, Morten Olsen has stepped down as the head-coach and he is replaced by Norwegian coach Age Hareide. The core of the team remain intact and after having drawn into a group that includes Romania and Poland, the Danes have a good chance to qualifying for the World Cups if they manage to pull out a few surprises.
Liechtenstein is placed 182 in the FIFA rankings and as the rank suggests they have never made it into a major tournaments. Their squad mainly consists of players from their local league and lacks quality. Most of these players have played enough international matches, but they hardly surprise anyone at the qualifiers. They managed just 2 wins from 50 World Cup qualifying matches and 5 wins from 58 European qualifiers. Liechtenstein normally finish inside the bottom two in qualification rounds.

Denmark vs Liechtenstein: Head-to-Head

The only meeting between Denmark and Liechtenstein was during the Euro 2008 qualification round. Denmark won both home and away legs by the same 4-0 margin.

Denmark vs Liechtenstein: Prediction

Whether it is a friendly or not, it is hard to see Liechtenstein troubling a side like Denmark. Also their last win can be dated back to March 2015, a 1-0 win against the minnows San Marino. Also they have conceded 21 goals in their last 7 matches, while failed to score in 6 of them.
Norway are clear and heavy favorite to win this one, but they must not get complacent. It is also very likely that they win this international fixture by a big margin to boost their morale and confidence ahead of welcoming Armenia at Copenhagen on 4th September.
