England kick-off their Euro 2016 preparation campaign with a friendly against Turkey at the Etihad stadium in Manchester on Sunday evening.
Roy Hodgson’s men boast of a 100% win record in the qualifying stages after winning all of their 10 matches in the campaign. Since then England’s had a mix form in the four friendlies, winning against France and Germany, but losing to Spain and Netherlands.
Turkey have now qualified for the Euro Competitions for the fourth time in six final tournaments. After a turbulent start to their qualifying campaign, some excellent performances helped them to earn automatic qualification as the best third-placed team. Since then the squad has acquired more confidence and strength and they will be a tough test for any opponents on the given day.

Nathaniel Clyne, Chris Smalling, Adam Lallana, James Milner, Marcus Rashford, Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge will all miss the Turkey game due to their respective club commitments.
However Jordan Henderson is training with the squad and will be keen to get some game time after recovering from a serious injury.
Jack Wilshere is another player who is desperate for some playing time and prove his worth to the squad.

Turkey head-coach Fatih Terim has the luxury to choose form a 31-man squad for the friendly on Sunday. But eventually he will have to trim the size to 23 for the Euro 2016.
Arda Turan is unavailable due to his involved with Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final with Sevilla; while Nuri Sahin and Burak Yilmaz are also on duty with their respective clubs.

Turkey on the other hand have managed to bring some passion and fighting spirit in their team, which has been absent in the previous years. Fatih Terim will be mainly using this opportunity to trim his 31-man squad to the allotted 23 for the Euro 2016 Finals.
England are clear favourites to win this one and they have never lost to Turkey in a competitive game. They also possess a 100% win record at home against Sunday’s opponents, while Turkey will be keen to find their first every goal against England in 10 matches.
