USA vs Bolivia: Preview and Prediction

USA take on Bolivia in their final friendly match before they kick up their Copa America Centenario campaign against Colombia on 3rd June 2016.
The United States men’s national soccer team are coming on the back of three consecutive wins and they look in good shape. Drawn into a group which involves Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay, Jurgen Klinsmann will be making sure that preparations go well as planned. The Stars and Stripes must be reckoned as real force in the tournament which they host and they would like a strong statement with their performances on field.
Bolivia were quarter finalists in the last edition of Copa America in Chile and were knocked out by Peru. But their form since then has been poor and fell to 6 defeats in 7 matches. They are together with tournament favourites Argentina, Chile and underdogs Panama; and performances like these could see them finish the bottom of the group. Coming on the back of three straight defeats, Bolivia will be keen to upset the odds in their only friendly prior to the mega event in the United States.

USA Team News:

Geoff Cameron is a major doubt with a hamstring problem, he picked up in Stoke City’s final Premier League match. He played no part in friendlies against Puerto Rico and Ecuador and is likely to remain sidelined here.
Darlington Nagbe scored the 90th minute winner against Ecuador and he will be pushing for a start in the midfield, while the youngster Bobby Wood is also expected to get some valuable game time.

USA: Predicted Line-up (4-3-3)

Guzan – Johnson, Brooks, Birnbaum, Yedlin – Bradley, Jones, Nagbe – Dempsey, Wood, Zardes.

Bolivia Team News:

Alejandro Chumacero and Samuel Galindo will miss the Copa America due to an ankle injury and is replaced by Carmelo Alganaraz.
Juan Carlos Arce has recovered from an injury and is expected to start against USA on Saturday evening.

Bolivia: Predicted Line-up (4-5-1):

Quinonez– Bejarano, Eguino, Gutierrez, Zenteno, Diego Bejarano – Campos, Veizaga, Melean Smedberg – Juan Arce.

USA vs Bolivia: Head-to-Head Stats

The last official meeting between the two sides was in the 1995 edition of the Copa America, Bolivia won it 1-0.
Bolivia are on a 5 match losing streak in matches played outside their home and they had scored just one goal during that period.
USA are on a five match winning streak at home and kept a clean sheet in their last three.

USA vs Bolivia: Prediction

USA with their recent form are clear favourites to win this game against a poor Bolivia football team. They have scored 15 goals in their last five matches and we can expect them score 2 or more goals here. USA to score over 1.5 goals is available at the odds 1.72.
Bolivia had scored just once in their last 5 away games and it is very likely that they fail to find the back of the net here. USA to win to nil is at odds 2.10, which is an excellent return for money, but it involves ample risk.
I recommend to bet on Half Time/Full Time for this match for USA/USA, with odds at 2.25, which is the best value offered for this Saturday’s friendly.
Full Time Score Prediction: USA 2:0 Bolivia
