Despite a great amount of noise by FC Dallas, ultimately CONCACAF Champions League matters in Frisco, Texas between them and CD Suchitepequez Wednesday night ended in a 0-0 draw.
It was not without some solid chances.
Carlos Ruiz made his first appearance since returning to MLS by signing with FC Dallas, and had a wide open chance to score the match winner just before the hour mark. Victor Ulloa found him with a perfect low cross that just needed a tap-in with Suchitepequez goalkeeper Manuel Sosa falling into the net, but Ruiz' attempt smacked the crossbar and flew away.
Otherwise Sosa played great to keep the Guatemalan side in the match. Despite that, save of the night goes to Jesse Gonzalez for a diving stop to save a Amaury Escoto rocket destined for goal in the 75'.
Aubrey David was red carded in stoppage time, and won't be available for the final CCL Group Stage tilt between these two sides.

Three Things
- WELCOME BACK: Ruiz played for an MLS side for the first time since 2013 when he was with DC United. 37 year old Pescadito is best known for his time with the LA Galaxy and FC Dallas, and he wasted no time trying to impress the Toyota Stadium fans again. He took four shots, all characteristically inside the penalty area, but didn't manage to get one on target.
- NOTHING DECIDED: FCD and Suchitepequez entered the night level on points in Group H, so splitting the points means everything is still to be decided on the final group gameday in Guatemala. They're also level on goal differential.
- IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED: Failing to find the goal tonight can't be blamed on lack on trying. They took 27 shots Wednesday night, with only four of them on target (three from inside the penalty area).
