Cyprus will welcome Belgium to the GSP Stadium on Tuesday, with Roberto Martinez taking charge of his first competitive game as Belgium coach.
Cyprus will be seeking for a revenge on Belgium as they were beaten on two occasions during the Euro 2016 qualifiers. Belgians hit Cyprus 5-0 in the first encounter, with goals from Fellaini, Hazard, Benteke and Batshuayi were enough to down Cyprus. Eden Hazard’s lone goal at Cyprus home goal handed them the win in the 2nd encounter. Though Cyprus didn’t make it to Euros, the campaign was better than the previous ones as they won 4 out of 10 games. They are hoping for a better campaign in this one.

Will be put to test on Tuesday. They lost 2-0 Spain in an international friendly on Friday, as David Silva’s brace broke their hearts. They have a star studded squad and have no excuse not to qualify the Belgian side for the 2018 tournament. Martinez’s appointment came as a shock to football world, but its left to him to prove himself as embarks on his first competitive game.
