Razak eyes top scorer accolade in Niamey

Bloemfontein Celtic striker Fiston Abdul Razak has set his sights on the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying top scorer award as Burundi prepare to face Niger in Niamey on Sunday.

With both teams having failed to qualify for the showpiece in Gabon next year, nothing but pride will be up for grabs.

Amid the tussle for bragging rights, Swallows forward Razak will be out to add to his tally of five goals in as many matches.

The Mamelodi Sundowns forward, who is on-loan at Siwelele from the Brazilians, boasts an incredible record for Burundi and also scored four times in the country's unsuccessful bid to make the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying group stages.

Senegal will advance to next years showpiece as Group K winners with the Lions of Teranga having accumulated a full house of points from their allotted matches.

In the reverse fixture, goals from Razak and Abbas Nshimirimana secured a 2-0 win for Burundi over Ménas in Bujumbura a year ago.

Kick-off at Stade Général Seyni Kountché is scheduled for 19h30 CAT.
