Walter Mazzarri earned his first Premier League victory for the Hornets despite giving up a two-goal deficit at the London Stadium

Walter Mazzarri recorded a stunning first win in English football after his Watfordside gave West Ham a 4-2 defeat at the London Stadium.
England new boy Michael Antonio scored two headers in the first 33 minutes. But in a crazy match of great attacking and dreadful defending, the Hornets hit back with goals from Odion Ighalo, Troy Deeney, Etienne Capoue and Jose Holebas.
West Ham took the lead after only five minutes when Antonio eluded Deeney to head home a Dimitri Payet corner.

The Frenchman, making his first start of the season, provided a more extravagant assist after 33 minutes when he crossed Rabona-style from the right and the new England squad player nodded home at the far post.

But Watford were level by the break after two pieces pieces of horrible defending from the home side. First Odion Ighalo was allowed to run into the Hammers box by Sam Byram and his low shot deflected in off James Collins. The Wales centre-back was also involved in the equaliser when Troy Deeney nipped in between him and keeper Adrian – and then turned to curl a super shot into the top corner.

After the break, Capoue smashed a shot into the roof of the net after 53 minutes following a Roberto Pereyra cross. And then Adrian should have stopped Holebas' low shot which found the corner after 63 minutes.
Here's five things we learned:

1. Walter Mazzarri is working his magic

After defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal, the Italian said it was now time to judge his side. And despite giving away a two-goal start to the Hammers, they responded superbly with outrageous attacking play. Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo saw plenty of the ball and both got on the scoresheet. And Etienne Capoue capped his fine display with a super strike.

2. West Ham can't defend

The experienced James Collins had a particular nightmare and his cock-up with Adrian to allow the equaliser in first-half injury time a turning point in the match.

3. Roberto Pereyra is class

Pereyra has inspired his side since joining from Juventus
One of the less heralded signings of the summer was the £13m capture of the Argentine playmaker from Juventus.
He scored on his debut against Arsenal and pulled all the strings playing behind the two strikers against West Ham.
He waltzed through the middle of the Hammers rearguard late in the game only for Adrian to save his low shot. Deeney and Ighalo are going to enjoy playing with the former Udinese star this season.

4. Michael Antonio listens to his boss

Slaven Bilic held talks with the former Tooting and Mitcham winger after his England call-up to urge him to keep his feet on the ground and keep working hard.
He responded by scoring two goals in the first 33 minutes to see him score a league-high 10 headed goals since the start of last season. More displays like with will earn him an England start

5. New stadium, old problems

The West Ham and Watford fans were seated very close together behind one goal creating a tense atmosphere in the former Olympic Stadium.
And eye-witness accounts reported fighting in the stands stemming from hostility between West Ham fans and stadium officials over standing. Not many Irons fans were left at the final whistle.
