Turan opened the scoring in fine fashion, sweeping in from the edge of the area after skilful play from Aleix Vidal on the right flank.
Celtic were gifted an equaliser when Jose Antonio Martinez's shockingly heavy touch fell into the path of Leigh Griffiths who ha the simple task of firing home from close range.
But they could only retain parity for a single minute, with Ambrose diverting the ball past his own goalkeeper from Juan Camara's cross.
Suarez teed up Mohamed to make it 3-1 before the break, with no further goals coming in the second half as both sides rung the changes.
Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta and Neymar were high-profile absentees for Barca.
Celtic have bigger fish to fry as they gear up for the second leg of their Champions League qualifier against Astana at Parkhead on Wednesday evening.
The score is 1-1 after the first fixture in Kazakhstan.
