Despite being offered a huge salary by Shanghai SIPG, Hernanes has spurned a move to Asia so he can continue playing in Europe
A potential transfer to Chinese club Shanghai SIPG has been rejected byJuventus‘ Hernanes, who has also been linked with a number of clubs across Europe.
Since moving from Inter to La Vecchia Signora in the summer of 2015 for €11 million, the 31-year-old has failed to establish himself in the Bianconeri squad, playing only 22 matches in all competitions throughout the 2015-16 season.
Currently valued at €8.5 million by Juventus, the Italian giants do not want to sell Hernanes for a huge loss, but are now likely to negotiate with another European club after the player rejected his most recent move to Asia.
Despite being offered a three-year contract worth €7m per season by Shanghai, he has decided that he would prefer to keep playing his football in Europe instead.
Portuguese giants Benfica are rumoured to be keen admirers of the Brazilian, whilst German clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg are also contemplating moves for the attacking midfielder.
