Palermo vs. Napoli: Betting tips

Palermo vs Napoli
2016/17 Italian Serie A.
Date: Saturday, 10 September 2016
Kick-Off: 19:45 UK,
Venue: Stadio Renzo Barbera (Palermo).
Palermo will be seeking their first win of the 2016/2017 Serie A season when they welcome Napoli on Saturday evening.
The Rosanero are one of six teams yet to win a match so far. They will be feeling frustrated after throwing away all three points against Inter and having to settle for a 1-1 draw. To complicate matters, club president Maurizio Zamparini has re-started the managerial merry-go-round. Last term saw the eccentric owner make a whopping eight – yes, eight – changes on the tactician’s bench.
And just two games into the new season, he’s already made one, with Davide Ballardini resigning to be replaced by Roberto de Zerbi. It will be interesting to see how long de Zerbi remains in the Rosanero hot-seat. Meanwhile, Napoli appear to be picking up some steam after a sluggish start. The Partenopei surprisingly had to settle for a 2-2 stalemate with newly promoted Pescara, but came out on top in a six goal thriller against AC Milan that saw the Rossoneri finish the game two men and two goals down.
Despite the departure of Gonzalo Higuain, Maurizio Sarri’s men appear to be adjusting well enough, with players like Dries Mertens and new signing Arkadiuz Milik scoring four out of the team’s six goals so far.

Palermo vs Napoli: Head-to-head statistics

Palermo have won one, lost three, and drawn one of their past five games against Napoli
There has been an average of 3.2 goals between the two sides during that period
The Partenopei have won four out of their last five games across all competitions (including friendlies)
Napoli have scored at least two goals in every single one of those matches

Palermo vs Napoli: Prediction

Palermo are again a side in flummox. Last season saw them barely avoid the drop after going through eight different managers, and it looks like the cycle has started yet again. As we all know, a new tactician and players need time to get used to each other, and it looks like this will be a tough one for de Zerbi.
Despite their defensive concerns – with conceding four in two games – Napoli are a side on the ascendancy. The Partenopei appear to be picking up steam and should have no trouble cruising to a fairly comfortable win against a hapless Palermo side. Palermo could be in for a serious hiding here. Napoli to come out on top by at least two goals (3-1).
