Shandong Luneng is at the 10th spot of the current league table after starting the season mercurially with an alternate of losses of wins in their first three games, a draw with Shanghai Shenhua in their fourth fixture, and a win in their fifth over Yanbian Funde.
Their last match was a sorry 1-2 defeat to Shijiazhuang Ever Bright on the road at the Yutong International Sports Center last Sunday, as per Soccerway.
Portuguese midfielder Ruben Micael opened the scoring for the hosts at the 11th minute, which was quickly responded to by Shandong striker Wu Xinghan ten minutes later to equalize the game.
Local defender Jiang Jihong netted one five minutes before the halftime break to give back the lead to Shijiazhuang and the score remained as is until the end of the match.
Meanwhile, Guangzhou R&F is now second to the last of the overall standings following a four-game winless spell after their victory to Tianjin Teda in their second game of the season.
Guangzhou had impressive game in their most recent match, though, even if it ended in a 1-1 draw against former league leaders Jiangsu Suning at their home field of Yuexiushan Stadium last Saturday, via Cri English.

The Blue Lions netted the first goal at the 82nd minute courtesy of defender Zeng Chao while Jiangsu managed to level the count during injury time with a strike from Brazilian forward Jô.
