Alan Pardew's men will now face Manchester United in the final after Wickham slotted home a second-half winner

Crystal Palace will play Manchester United in the FA Cup final after beating Watford at Wembley.
Yannick Bolasie opened the scoring for the Eagles , heading home at the far post from Yohan Cabaye's corner.
Palace had chances to extend their lead but Watford equalised after the break through skipper Troy Deeney.
They weren't level for long though as Connor Wickham slotted past Costel Pantilimon.
Here are five things we learned from the semi-final clash.

1. Fighting for Flores

The Watford players were fighting for Quique Flores.
They looked as though they’d been affected by the rumours surrounding the Spaniard’s job during the first half.
Palace were first to every ball and so much sharper.
That all changed after half time as they rolled up their sleeves for a scrap.

2. Wickham proves his worth

Alan Pardew has been right to stand by Connor Wickham.
The 6ft 3in striker has been criticised for his lack of goals since his £9million move from Sunderland last summer.
But Pardew has argued constantly that Wickham has had little or no luck with injuries.
The 23-year-old he delivered here big time with a towering header to leave Costel Pantilimon with no chance.

3. Bolasie outshines Palace players

Too few of Bolasie’s Palace team-mates matched his level of performance.
He scored against Arsenal last week and he was in the mood from the start, tearing into the Palace defence at every opportunity.
He pounced for the opener and posed a threat all afternoon. The Man of the Match.

4. What's happened to Ighalo?

Odion Ighalo’s form has deserted him.
He will know by now that he has a whole host of clubs chasing him.
What a shame, however, that he was unable to build on his 16 goals this season.
He has netted just once in his last 12 and he went missing when his team needed him most.

5. Pardew back to the future

Alan Pardew will relish going back to the future.
He was part of the Palace team that reached the final 26 years ago before they eventually lost to Manchester United in a replay.
After a nightmare run of Premier League form, he now has the chance to mastermind United’s downfall as the Eagles’ manager.
He will relish the challenge.
