Keith Long's side picked up their second victory of the season thanks to a strong first-half performance against the Midlanders
Two goals at the end of the first-half helped Bohemians to a confidence-boosting victory over Longford Town.
The Gypsies had won only once this season before hosting Longford, but took all three points thanks to two goals in four minutes from Keith Buckley and Aymen Ben Mohamed.
Bohemians started lively with Ismahil Akinade proving a handful for Tony Cousins' side. Longford struggled to come to terms with the pace of the game early on, but created the first clear cut chance of the game when Dean Delany stood firm to make the vital save, Josh O‘Hanlon failed to capitalize and give his side the lead.
The game sprung into life at when substitute Kaleem Simon went on a run for the visitors before firing a left footed effort just past the post.
Bohemians nearly gifted a goal for Longford Town when a misplaced back pass to goalkeeper Delany, almost resulted in a goal but lucky for the home faithful the ball fell the right way to keep the score level. On the resulting break Bohemians had a terrific chance but the ball rebounded of the post and fell behind for a goal kick.
The Gypsies took advantage of their possession and produced two goals in quick succession. Firstly Buckley was sent through on goal on the 42nd minute, and delightfully slotted the ball over Paul Skinner. Deep into stoppage time in the first half Derek Pender produced an excellent delivery to the feet of Ben Mohamed, who then struck his effort into the goal from close range to give his side a two goal cushion.
Keith Long's side dominated the second-half but Peter McGlynn almost got his side back into the game when he linked up well with Kaleem Simon before hitting the post.

Bohemians will look to surge up the table as they face Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds next Saturday. Longford Town face a tough task in their next league outing against defending champions Dundalk.
