The Chinese Super League's (CSL) Shijiazhuang Ever Bright has extended the contract of the Zambian professional football striker Jacob Mulenga.
Mulenga, 32, who played for the Turkish football club Adana Demirspor before joining the Chinese side, is presently in his final season of a two-year contract with the Yasen Petrov-led team. He has joined the Shijiazhuang at the start of the year 2015 following an 11-year playing career in the European leagues.

"The club has given
the coach and everyone is very happy with my work and how I conduct myself with the team," the African striker said.
The Zambian star helped Shijiazhuang to finish 7th place in the CSL last season after the team's promotion. Mulenga scored a total of 13 goals in his first season with the club.
He is yet to get off the mark in the current season, but the Kitwe, Zambia native has already shelled out two assists in the opening four matches to the campaign.
"After last year's performance they rewarded me with an additional year. I thank God for this. It is not easy to get into a booming market, staying and performing is even harder," Mulenga said.
Shijiazhuang is currently sitting at the fourth from bottom in the league table, with 4 points from as many games played.
Mulenga is a veteran of different football leagues in the Europe. The Zambian national spent five years playing with the French association football club La Berrichonne from 2004 to 2009 before joining the RC Strasbourg Alsace in 2007 to 2008 in a loan.
He moved to the Dutch side FC Utrecht in 2009 and spent five seasons with the Eredivisie side. Mulenga started his football club career with Afrisport FC in year 2000.
