Getafe CF vs Valencia Spanish League Match Preview and Prediction 24-Apr-2016

A rejuvenated Valencia looks for their fourth consecutive win when they take on relegation candidates Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on Sunday evening.
Pako Ayestarán has lifted Valencia from a hole since he took over and they are now notched up three wins in a row. The most notable of them is certainly the 2-1 win against Barcelona at Camp Nou. They are currently seventh in the league table and any scope of European football next season is out of sight.
Getafe are 19th in the league table and their 2-1 win over Real Sociedad in the midweek fixture has given them a slight hope in the relegation battle. A win here could took them out of the relegation zone, provided both Sporting Gijon and Granada lose their matches.

Form Guide

Getafe’s win against Sociedad on Thursday was their first win in 14 matches. They went on to lose 11 of their previous 13, with 2 draws. They are still win-less at home in 6 successive games and they were thrashed 5-1 by Real Madrid in the last match at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
Valencia are on a three match winning run in the Spanish La Liga, after having lost in 4 previous matches. Their last away match was a 2-1 win at Barcelona and their form in the last 5 matches on the road reads 3 wins and 2 defeats. Four of their last five away games have seen over 2.5 goals.

Getafe: Team News

Hard working Uruguay international full-back Alvaro Pereira and center defender Cala are injured. While Emiliano Buendia, Roberto Lago and Juan Rodríguez are suspended.
Emiliano Velázquez and Henok Goitom are doubtful and their fitness will be assessed closer to the kick-off.

Getafe: Predicted Line-up (4-4-2)

Guaita,
Suarez, Vergini, Velazquez, Vigaray,
Pedro Leon, Medran, Lacen, Sarabia,
Scepovic, Vazquez.

Valencia: Team News

Zakaria Bakkali and Pablo Piatti are injured for Valencia, while Jose Gaya and Denis Cheryshev are struggling for fitness.
Changes are hardly expected from the side that earned a 4-0 win against Eibar on Wednesday.

Valencia: Predicted Line-up (4-3-3)

Alves,
Cancelo, Mustafi, Abdennour, Siqueira,
Gomes, Fuego, Parejo,
Rodrigo, Alcacer, Mina.

Getafe vs Valencia: Head-to-Head Stats

Getafe have lost the last three home matches against Valencia and failed to register a goal in each of them.
The first leg meeting of this season’s league match at Mestalla ended in a 2-2 draw.
Valencia are unbeaten in the last three matches against Getafe, regardless of the venue. They have won in 2 and drawn 1.

Getafe vs Valencia: Prediction

Valencia are looking good as a team at the moment and their recent form is nothing but excellent. Getafe on the other hand are desperate for a win to ensure their stay in the league and pressure will be high on them. While Valencia can only achieve a place in the mid-table and there will be no pressure on them on Sunday evening.
The team from Valencia are clear favourites for me to win this one. The vital win against Sociedad surely give Getafe some confidence, but I don’t think they have enough quality to stop an excellent Valencia.
