Winless squads Yanbian Funde FC (0-1-1, 1 point) and Beijing Guoan FC (0-0-1, 1 point) will both try to gain their first victory of the new season as they meet at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium in Yanji City on Saturday, April 2nd for a 2016 Chinese Super League matchup.
Yanbian Funde, last season's Chinese League One champions and now promoted to the China top flight, is coming off a sorry 1-2 loss to newly-improved Jiangsu Suning FC at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center on March 11th to suffer their first loss in the domestic first division competitions, as per Soccerway.
Jiangsu midfielder Zhang Xiaobin opened the scoring at the 36th minute of the match to reach the halftime break up by a point over the visitors.
The Changbai Tigers managed to level the count at 1-1 at the 61st minute with a goal from South Korean midfielder Yoon Bit-garam as manager Park Tae-ha's squad looked headed to a second straight drawn match in their young CSL campaign.
However, Jiangsu scored again as defender Li Ang found the back of Chi Wenyi's net 10 minutes later to grab away the three points from YCFC.
Meanwhile, Beijing Guoan settled for a goalless draw with Tianjin Teda FC for their season opener at the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium on March 16th, via Sofa Score.
The capital city squad is supposed to open their season with another newly-promoted side, Hebei China Fortune, a week before the Tianjin clash, but the match was re-scheduled to a later date and so this game versus Yanbian will only be their second fixture in the 2016 season.
The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Beijing Guoan.
