SON OF THE WIND IS NO SON OF DALLAS
It appears a long-time MLS veteran will not be returning to Dallas.
Marvin Chavez or "El Hijo del Viento" did not make the cut according to Oscar Pareja in a wide-ranging interview with Steven Hunt of the Dallas Morning News.
Another player who will not be making the trip to Frisco is Aurelio Saco-Vertiz, a Peruvian left back who spent the preseason with FC Dallas.
Two rookies, Jaineil Hoilett and Will Seymore, also appear to be on the chopping block as we enter the final days of preseason. Both players could end up with Arizona United, Dallas's USL affiliate.

ZIZZO BREAKS DOWN 2-0 WIN OVER TFC
The Red Bulls will cap off a busy preseason on Saturday with a chance to take home a trophy.
That's because they have won two of their three games at the IMG Suncoast Pro Classic, including a 2-0 win over Toronto FC on Wednesday night.
The goals were scored by Bradley Wright-Phillips and Sal Zizzo (check out the highlightsHERE), and we will let the former SKC man describe how the game, and the preseason as a whole, has gone so far for Jesse Marsch's squad:
JOHNSON SITS DOWN WITH CHICAGO-FIRE.COM
It was interesting 2014 for Sean Johnson.
His team had a down season, but Johnson showed more improvement in his game, cementing his status as one of the top goalkeepers in MLS.
Last month he was called into USMNT camp and appeared in the Panama game as he looks to become a regular with the full national team. The Fire have run a great three-part video interview with the 25-year old, so be sure to check out the final installment below:
GALAXY GIVE BACK
To celebrate the Galaxy's 20th season, the team launched a year-long initiative that will see the implementation of 20 unique community service acts across LA.
The team kicked off this initiative on Wednesday by joining Habitat Humanity of Greater Los Angeles to build a home in Lynwood, California
