Aston Villa 1-3 Everton: Toffees ease to comfortable victory over rock bottom Villans - 5 things we learned

Ramiro Funes Mori, Aaron Lennon and Romelu Lukaku found the net as the Toffees cruised to three points against their hapless hosts

Aston Villa fans protested against Randy Lerner as their side lost again to slip closer to the Championship.
A couple of thousand fans walked out on 74 minutes at Villa Park in support of the 'Out the Door on 74' campaign against Lerner.
Some had already gone before then, angry at witnessing another capitulation and Villa were 3-0 down by this stage.
Their defending was awful and Everton took full advantage to score through Ramiro Funes Mori, Aaron Lennon and Romelu Lukaku.
Rudy Gestede pulled one back near the end, but it was of little consolation to Villa's fans.
Here's five things we learned:

1. Toffees on the rise

Farhad Moshiri will be pleased with his investment.
Everton are finally going places and this was their fourth win in five Premier League games.

2. Villa fans HAVE had enough

Aston Villa fans voted with their feet.
A couple of thousand fans left on the 74th minute in the 'Out the Door on 74' protest against owner Randy Lerner.

3. When will Baines get his place back?

Leighton Baines still can't get his place back.
England left-back Baines was on the bench for the fourth straight game and his continued absence is starting to mystify some Evertonians.

4. Ayew fails to back up his word

Jordan Ayew did not repay his team-mates.
Ayew let his colleagues down big time with his suicidal sending off against West Ham last month and he did not make amends on his return to the side here.

5. Mirallas ready for late season run

Kevin Mirallas seized his chance.
Mirallas made his first start since January 27 and the Belgium winger had a hand in the first two goals.
