Leicester go 5 points clear as the English Premier League Match week 29 wraps up, while the North London Derby between Tottenham and Arsenal ends in 2:2 draw as ten men Arsenal fought hard to keep a point.
Manchester City poured more misery on Aston Villa in a 4:0 goal galore, Chelsea continued their unbeaten run in their 1:1 stalemate against Stoke City.
Everton lost 2:3 at home to West Ham while Bournemouth grabbed a vital away 1:3 win over Newcastle United to stay clear of the relegation zone.
Southampton shared points with Sunderland as their encounter ended in a 1 all draw, Swansea grabbe a narrow win at the expense of Norwich City.
Liverpool grabbed a 2:1 away win over Crystal Palace to climb up to 7th place in the log and a young Manchester United finally fell to West Brom after showing signs of revival in the past few weeks.
It was difficult to make selections for the team of the week, many players performed spectacularly. Lets see who made it into our best IX of the week
5. Goalkeeper
Ospina – Arsenal
Arsenal’s David Ospina was the brightest of all Shot stoppers in the english Premier League match week 29, as he tried all his best to keep ten men Arsenal in the game, making 9 wonderful saves. Fantasti!!!
4.Defenders
Bellerin – Arsenal
Bellerin was so fantastic during the North London Derby, despite his team going down to ten men, he fought doggedly to provide assist that led to the equalizing goal making it his second assist in the that game.
Clichy – Manchester City
Clichy didn’t much in his Left back position, but no other Right back played better than him in English Premier League Match week 29.
van Dijk – Southampton
This defender played more than the role of a defender, as he scored a goal and also had 2 shots, he won almost all aerial dwells he was involved in.
Nathan Ake – Watford
Ake was unfortunate to be on the loosing team this week, he tried everything possible to keep his team in the game, he made a clearance of the line in the early minutes of the game and later hit the post.
3. Midfielders
Payet – West Ham
Payet was prolific in their 3:2 win against Everton, he gave Everton defenders a tough time and shooting at any chance he gets, he scored 1 goal and providing 1 assist.
Antonio – West Ham
Antonio was another player that dealt with Everton defenders, he and Payet were outstanding, he scored a goal and had 5 shots on target.
Silva – Manchester City
Silva ran the show in the midfield as if he was in a training ground, he set up two goals in the expected rout of relegation candidates Aston Villa.
2. Forwards
Kane – Tottenham
Kane should have scored more than 1 goal as he was shooting at will, if i’m right, he had above 6 shots in the game.
Diouf – Stoke City
Diouf helped Stoke City to grab a point in their encounter, running into the midfield to get the ball and going back forward. He won a lot of aerial dwells.
Aguero – Manchester City
Even thou he missed a penalty, he still gave the fans what they crave for. He scored two goals on the game.
