Cristiano Ronaldo in talks over Real Madrid contract extension

Cristiano Ronaldo has been given two options with regards to his Real Madrid future as Florentino Perez tries to reveal where the 31-year-old sits, reports The Mirror.
The Los Blancos president would have seen Tuesday's reports from France Football which claimed Ronaldo had met with Paris Saint-Germain officials five times over a possible move to the French capital. The last of which was claimed to have been the day after his heroic hat-trick against Wolfsburg in the Champions League quarter-final.
For some time now, a huge question has been placed over Ronaldo's head. No matter how many times he says he wants to retire at the Bernabeu, reliable reports consistently link him with a final flourish in another league.
Now Perez wants Ronaldo to end the speculation once and for all. He will tell Ronaldo to put pen-to-paper on a new contract, keeping him at the club to 2020 or quite possibly 2021 or risk being sold. The deal would tie him down to the end of his career at the top of the game.
His current contract, believed to be worth in excess of £300,000-a-week, expires in 2018. Approaching 32-years-old, if Ronaldo does not agree to a new deal then it would be within Real Madrid's best efforts to sell as soon as possible, but that is not necessarily what Perez wants.
