Teams clash at Highmark Stadium both looking for first victory of season
PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds play host to Orlando City B on Friday night with both teams looking to earn their first win of the season. Kickoff at Highmark Stadium is set for 7 p.m. ET.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds news and notes
- Current record: 0-1-1, 1 point
- The Riverhounds earned their first point of the season last Sunday when a late goal by Conor Branson earned the side a 2-2 draw with Toronto FC II.
- Due to the club’s early-season schedule, and the postponement of the first Keystone Derby of the season on April 9, Friday will mark just Pittsburgh’s third game of the season.
- Romeo Parkes scored the first goal for the Riverhounds this season against Toronto with a fine finish that was selected as one of the top five USL Goals of the Week.
- Fellow new addition Corey Hertzog leads the Riverhounds with seven shots, three of which have been on goal.
Orlando City B news and notes
- Current record: 0-3-1, 1 point
- Orlando is coming off back-to-back defeats to Louisville City FC and the Harrisburg City Islanders, who took a 1-0 win at the Titan Soccer Complex last Saturday.
- The Lions have struggled in front of goal this season, scoring just twice in four games this season.
- Tony Rocha, who was sent off in the game against Harrisburg, successfully appealed his red card and will be available for Orlando.
- Orlando has received the second-most yellow cards in the league so far, with 12.
