Changes announced at Bray Wanderers

Bray Wanderers today announced new owners, new sponsors and a new home kit for the 2015 SSE Airticity league season.
The McGettigan group expects to shortly purchase the majority shareholding of Bray Wanderers with The Royal Hotel Bray becoming club sponsors.
In front of a large gathering at the Royal Hotel Bray, Bray Wanderers displayed their new home jersey complete with new club crest for the 2015 SSE Airtricity League season.
"Tonight really started about 12 months ago," explained Bray Wanderers chairman Denis O'Connor as he addressed a large gathering in the Royal Hotel Bray.
"We have a dream and ideal for a community based football here in Bray and that dream and ideal still exists today," explained O'Connor. "Part of getting the ideal together is about getting Bray Wanderers together."
"We're delighted to be part of a super venture going forward and I think it is time that Bray Wanderers and the Royal Hotel Bray partnered up and we developed football in Bray and the local community," explained McGettigan group CEO Dennis McGettigan.
Bray chairman O'Connor announced the established of their youth academy which will be managed by John Traynor and will include the support of local clubs Phoenix Youths and Ardmore United.
Wanderers' partnership with the Royal Hotel will include the use of training and recuperation facilities for the Wanderers playing staff along with finical backing and advice from the McGettigan group.
Bray Wanderers Director of Football and First Team Manager, Alan Matthews, was on hand to announce the resigning of Stephen McGuinness, Niall Cooney, Graham Kelly, Adam Hanlon, Michael Barker, David Cassidy, Dean Zambra and David Scully.
Matthews added that Wanderers have secured Jack Memory from Bohemians, Hugh Douglas from UCD and Chris Lyons from Shamrock Rovers for the 2015 season.
"Next season will mark the 25th anniversary of the club's first FAI Cup victory and there is no reason why we can't push on and replicate those days," announced Matthews who takes the reigns for his second season with Wanderers.
"It's not going to be easy, we will have good days and bad days on the pitch, but I believe we can aim for a top half finish in 2015. It's not going to be easy, but with the club in good stead off the pitch I think we can achieve it," added Matthews.
"We've brought Chris and Hugh in, who are local lads, and that's an area we are going to try and work on. We're going to work with Ardmore to try and develop a conveyer belt of under 15 and under 17 players.
"We'll be fielding a under 17 team SSE Airtricity league team in two years time, we'll be fielding an under 19 team with Ardmore Rovers, with the focus of local players," added Matthews.
O'Connor paid tribute to Jack O'Neill for the last 11 years with Bray Wanderers as well as shareholders, directors and volunteers that worked with Bray Wanderers over the last few years.
