San Antonio Scorpions midfielder Josue Soto was suspended, pending an investigation by the North American Soccer League, amid allegations he snitched on the NASL team, providing "strategic information" to former teammates around the league, according to the San Antonio Express-News sources.

The NASL issued a statement to the San Antonio Express-News that it was investigating the case:

“The NASL was made aware of potential misconduct by San Antonio Scorpions midfielder Josue Soto. The league has commenced an investigation and the player has been suspended from all team activities pending the outcome of the investigation."

The Express-News reported that Soto, who began his pro career with MLS's Houston Dynamo and later played for Chivas USA, provided information to former teammates. The extent of the information or Soto's intent was unclear.

Soto was in his third season with the Scorpions, who won the 2014 NASL title but have faded badly in 2015. He played at Campbell and SMU before signing as a Homegrown player with the Dynamo in 2011.

Soto made 14 appearances (seven starts) in 2015 after playing in 23 games (12 starts) in 2014.
