USA-Colombia Olympic playoff set for March

  

The USA's playoff with Colombia for a spot at in the 2016 Olympics will be a home-and-away series in March, with the Colombia hosting the first leg and the USA the second.

Dates and venues have yet to be announced.

The USA missed its chance to qualify for the Rio 2016 Games with a 2-0 loss to Honduras in the semifinals of the USA-hosted Concacaf qualifying tournament but earned the playoff thanks to a 2-0 win over Canada in the third-place game.

Colombia finished second at the 2015 South American U-20 Championship in Uruguay that also served as Olympic qualifying. Argentina finished first while Brazil, an automatic qualifier as host, finished fourth.
