AshantIGold received 50,000 Ghana Cedis for winning the 2014/2015 from the league’s title sponsors First Capital Plus Bank.
The club’s Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo received the cheque during the Premier League Board/Ghana FA awards night at the La Palm Hotel in Accra.
The reward package comes as a huge boost for the Obuasi-based side who will be playing in the 2016 CAF Champions League.
The Miners dominated the league from the start to finish with 15 wins; seven draws and 8 defeats.
AshGold achieved this feat to end a 19-year wait for a league title.
Asante Kotoko and Mafro Sports to tie knot soon
Asante Kotoko have sealed a three-year kit sponsorship deal with Mafro Sports, media reports reveal.
Officials of the Singaporean firm are currently on their way to Kumasi to finalise the agreement.
Talks between Kotoko and Mafro Sports have been ongoing over the past months. The dethroned Ghana Premier League champions will be handed constant supply of kits by Mafro Sports under the agreements.
There is also a financial component of the deal which is expected to be concluded over the weekend.

GPL best player Eric Opoku breaks into tears
Eric Opoku shared tears after receiving the most prestigious accolade in the 2014-15 PLB/GFA First Capital Plus Premier League awards gala at La Palm Beach Hotel on Friday.
The outstanding performance of the former King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea player aided him to beat off competition from goalie Richard Ofori of Wa All Stars and Kofi Owusu of Berekum Chelsea, the eventual goal king of the season, to win the Ghana Premier League best player of the 2014-15 season.
However, Opoku’s joys turned into tears on the day he attained the highest point in his football career and when quizzed why he was sharing tears after receiving the award he said.
“The award reminds me of not being called into the national team, so I will assess myself and make sure I do more to ensure things I wasn’t able to do last season I do.”
