Senegal midfielder Cheikhou Kouyaté has revealed that their mission is to go to Madagascar and ensure they get a good result to qualify.

The Lions of Teranga are scheduled to face the Islanders in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier first leg away on Friday before facing them at home

However, Kouyate is adamant that they must go to their opponent to seal their qualification en route to Russia, however, he acknowledged that it’s not going to be an easy encounter.

“Our objective is to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA World Cup. We are top of our group in the AFCON qualifiers, and are taking game after game,” said the West Ham United midfielder.

“Madagascar is now in our way, and we must travel there to try to seal our qualification as early as possible.

“It is going to be a difficult game, but we are mentally ready to reach the group stage of these World Cup qualifiers.”

Aliou Cisse’s men are scheduled meet the Barea at Stade Municipal de Mahamasina in Antananarivo on Friday.

The return leg is set for next Tuesday, November 17 at Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor in Dakar.
