Morocco fullback Fouad Chafik believes that their FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifying opponents Equatorial Guinea are going to be a very tough challenge.
Chafik was speaking mountakhab.net ahead of their home match against Equatorial Guinea on Thursday.
“We know that it is going to be very difficult. There are no longer small teams in Africa, as we saw in the latest round of AFCON qualifiers," he said.
“They are tough opponents, who reached the semifinals of the latest Africa Cup of Nations on home soil. We will have to remain wary and play our game without putting too much pressure on ourselves.
“The most important thing is to claim the full points at home before travelling there, as the return leg will be even more difficult.
“But we remain confident, and I really hope that we will qualify for the group stage. We owe it to our country.”
