TEAM NEWS

Everton will make a late decision on whether to select James McCarthy, who has missed their last three games with a hip problem.
Centre-back John Stones is fit despite suffering a heavy fall at Norwich.
Leicester full-back Jeffrey Schlupp is out for six weeks with a hamstring injury, while Danny Drinkwater is also sidelined with a similar problem.
Robert Huth serves a ban, while Ritchie de Laet remains unavailable because of an ankle problem.

MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES

Guy Mowbray: "First Monk, then Mourinho - but we can relax about Roberto Martinez being safe enough to beat the Leicester curse of the last fortnight.
"Just beating them will be a big enough challenge, with the Foxes guaranteed to be top at Christmas with yet another win. Last year they were bah-humbug bottom.
"For the first time this season they'll have a changed central defensive duo - not ideal when facing Romelu Lukaku, the only man stopping the table-toppers from also having the top two scorers in the Premier League in their team.
"Talking of goalscorers, Leicester haven't won at Everton since 30 years ago this week - when Gary Lineker was playing.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "Normally the expected sides are in the best positions. Leicester are an inspiration and the way they play is very refreshing.
"Neutral fans will have a soft spot towards Leicester. It's the worst time to play them. Leicester are a very good team who deserve to be top.
"They are title contenders because of how competitive they've been. Leicester have no fear and they know exactly what they're doing. We know we will have to be at our best."
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri: "Of course I would like (to win the title). Who doesn't like to win the Premier League?
"I speak about Sir Alex [Ferguson] - Sir Alex knows when the horses arrive in the last ten metres or 100 metres. I want to see my horses at the end of the race."

  • MATCH FACTS

    Head-to-head
    • Everton's only league defeat in the last 20 meetings came away from home in August 1998 when their former striker Tony Cottee and Muzzy Izzet scored in a 2-0 Leicester victory.
    • Leicester's last win at Goodison Park came 30 years ago this week in the top division. Alan Smith scored the decisive goal as the Foxes triumphed 2-1.
    • Thirteen of their 18 Premier League encounters have been drawn.
    Everton
    • Everton are on a six-match unbeaten league run, although they have drawn their last three fixtures. It's their longest run without defeat since a seven-match winning streak in March-April last year.

    • The Toffees have scored in 12 of their last 13 matches in all competitions.
    • Romelu Lukaku is the first Everton player to score in six successive Premier League games, and the first to find the net in seven successive matches in all competitions since Bob Latchford in December 1975.
    • Gerard Deulofeu has set up six of Lukaku's goals - a league-high combination.
    Leicester City
    • Leicester are unbeaten in nine games and have won 17 of their last 25 league fixtures, losing just twice.
    • They have not lost an away match for nine months since a 4-3 defeat at Tottenham in March (W7, D4).
    • Claudio Ranieri's side are the division's leading scorers with 34 goals, all of which have come from inside the penalty area.
    • The Foxes are the only side to have scored in every Premier League game this season.
    • Jamie Vardy has 15 league goals this season, as many as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi combined.
