The Tartan Army continue to build for a bright future
While most countries have their sights firmly fixed on Euro 2016 and the summer ahead Scotland are looking longer-term and are already preparing for the World Cup qualifying matches that begin in September.
After narrowly missing out on the chance to go to France this summer Gordon Strachan has looked to shake up the players available to him by calling up nine uncapped players and naming two different 19-man squads for the friendlies against Czech Republic and Denmark.
Where can you watch it?
Sky Sports 1 are broadcasting the game with coverage starting at 7:30pm before the game begins at 8pm.
Key players
Gordon Strachan has Leigh Griffiths, Steven Fletcher and Chris Martin to choose from in attack giving him an embarrassment of riches. The Scotland boss has admitted he will consider playing two up front in the future depending on the strikers’ form but for now he is wedded to the idea of one up top in order to allow more in midfield.
Denmark’s key man is likely to be Christian Eriksen, a player whose talents deserve to be seen at Euro 2016. In 28 Premier League appearances for Tottenham this season the attacking midfielder has scored six times and assisted eight goals. To date the 24-year-old has only netted six times in 58 games for his country, a tally he is sure to want to improve.
Form
Although Scotland failed to qualify for Euro 2016 their form of late has been hugely encouraging and they will hope to continue that ahead of the World Cup qualifiers later this year. A win away at Czech Republic last Thursday is added to a draw with Poland and a narrow 3-2 defeat to Germany in the country’s impressive recent results.
Denmark are in a similar situation and will want to build on last week’s friendly win against Iceland after losing to Sweden, France and Portugal and drawing with Armenia and Albania in recent times.
Team news
Steven Fletcher, Steven Whittaker and Kieran Tierney are available for Scotland after missing the victory against Czech Republic last week.
Kasper Schmeichel has a muscle strain and is unlikely to be risked meaning Anders Lindegaard or Jonas Lossl will deputise.

Last meeting
Scotland came out on top in August 2011, winning 2-1 thanks to debutant Robert Snodgrass’s header and ending a winless streak that dated back to 1975. Charlie Adam put Craig Levein’s side in front at Hampden Park before a defensive mistake allowed Christian Eriksen to equalise.
