'Tis the season to express our appreciation to you readers.
To say this year has been weird would be an understatement. I used to get exhausted with how many stories I could write about every day. The past year, I've felt the opposite way.
But I'm thankful for SB Nation for continuing to support The Goat Parade through this transition period between MLS teams to cover on a daily basis. They could have chosen to pull the plug, but they didn't, and I really appreciate the ongoing support.
I'm also thankful for those of you who continued reading the site in the past year. Our audience got smaller, for a variety of reasons, and I've written before the fatigue fromChivas USA and the fans who turned their backs on MLS after that team folded. Totally understandable. There are days when our audience shrinks to truly tiny levels. But whether you check in regularly or only stop by once in a while, thank you for taking the time to read what's been written.
Thanks to the Orange County Blues and LAFC for providing access and working with the site this year to help get information out. And thanks to PSA Elite for letting me interview you this summer. Also, thanks to the many folks who I talked to for USL previews this year, both inside the SBN network and outside. I really appreciate your time to help inform me and the readers about your teams.
There is no timetable at present, but chances are we will rebrand the blog within the next year, to update the brand and get people to stop asking me why The Goat Parade is still a thing. So be on the lookout for that at some point.
Otherwise, thanks for reading! I truly appreciate you stopping by and continuing to follow the site. Happy Thanksgiving!
