In the last competitive meetings between the two nations, Togo beat Uganda 1-0 both home and away during the 2015 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying campaign.
Togo are heading into this clash without two key players. Sparrow Hawks first choice goalkeeper Kossi Agassa and former captain Emmanuel Adebayor were not included in the squad.
Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet, who has been in charge of Togo since May this year, is expected to mastermind a victory over Uganda on aggregate.
Meanwhile, Uganda are hoping to register their first ever competitive win over Togo in order to stand a good chance of advancing to the next round of qualification.
Good news for the Cranes ahead of the clash against the Sparrow Hawks is the availability of Ivan Bukenya. The defender passed a fitness test.
Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic has stated that they know Togo's playing style, before adding that he believes in his charges.
Referee Yakhouba Keita from Guinea will be charge of the first-leg encounter in Togo.
Uganda will host Togo in the return leg at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium in Kampala on Sunday, 15th November.
