F.Marinos youth players to train at Manchester City
Yokohama F. Marinos on Sunday announced that youth academy players Yu Kawarada and Hideya Sata will spend two weeks training with Premier League giants Manchester City.
The two midfielders will be joined by the club’s Under-18 coach Fuyuki Nishitani in England between August 3 and 18.
The short-term training stint is part of Marinos’ ongoing partnership with City Football Group, who own a 20 percent stake in the J.League co-founders.
Arthur Maia joins Frontale as Renato replacement
Kawasaki Frontale on Monday announced Brazilian Arthur Maia arrived on loan from EC Vitoria for the rest of the 2015 season, as the club look to replace the departed Renato.
Arthur, who was initially spending this season on loan at Flamengo, will now wear the Frontale No. 10 shirt vacated by former talisman Renato when he signed for Guangzhou R&F in July.
“I fell blessed to have come to Frontale,”the 22-year-old Arthur told the club’s website.
“I want to work hard to get fit as quickly as possible and work together with my teammates to accomplish our goals.”
Despite the loss of Renato, Yahiro Kazama’s men have continued their strong start to the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League second stage, sitting third with 10 points after five games.
Grampus send Matsuda to JEF United on loan
Riki Matsuda revealed he is honoured to have played for Nagoya Grampus after they confirmed his loan to JEF United Chiba on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old had scored one goal in 11 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League appearances for Grampus this season, with another strike to his name in four Yamazaki Nabisco Cup games.
“It has been an honour to play at Nagoya Grampus for the last year and a half,” Matsuda commented. “I was able to stay motivated because of the tremendous support from our fans.
“From today I’ll be playing at JEF United Chiba, but I’ll always carry my memories here in Nagoya and play as hard as I can.”
The former Oita Trinitra former had joined Grampus in 2014.
Yamaga striker Arata joins Trinita
Tomoyuki Arata wishes he was able to play more at Matsumoto Yamaga, after the club announced his transfer to Oita Trinita on Monday.
The 29-year-old, who previously played for Fagiano Okayama, JEF United Chiba, Jubilo Iwata and Mito Hollyhock, only appeared in three Yamazaki Nabisco Cup games this season.
“It’s only been half a year, but I feel like I better understood the importance of the game while at Matsumoto Yamaga,” said Arata.
“I regret that I didn’t get to play very much in front of such amazing supporters, but I want to work hard at Oita Trinita. Thank you.”
His arrival will be a boost to Trinita caretaker Nobuaki Yanagida, whose side are currently 21st in the MEIJI YASUDA J2 League and battling relegation.
