- Juan Agudelo scored for a second consecutive game, but the Revolution had their winless run extended to six games with just a second loss in that time, falling 4-2 to the LA Galaxy on Sunday afternoon at StubHub Center. The Revs have one win in 11 starts this season.
- The Revolution have won the last two meetings between the teams in Foxborough. When the Fire won there July 12, 2014, it was their first victory at New England since 2010.
- The Fire have a four-game undefeated streak alive at Toyota Park, with a 2-2 draw there last July 25, then a 3-1 victory on Oct. 3. The Revolution have won just twice all-time at Toyota Park – a 2-1 win in 2006, then a 1-0 victory March 9, 2013.
